An Ector County jury found a 32-year-old man guilty of aggravated robbery after he reportedly robbed an 85-year-old man of $1,200 and a Lincoln Town Car.

Clarence Anderson was sentenced to life in prison for the robbery, an Ector County District Attorney press release detailed.

Assistant District attorneys Melissa Williams and Scott Turner prosecuted the case, while Don Fletcher defended Anderson, the release stated.

The robbery happened at 1:07 p.m. Dec. 4, 2018, at the Davis Auto located at 419 Dixie Ave., a previous Odessa American article detailed.

L.C. Davis Jr., 85, reportedly stated Anderson assaulted him and stole $1,200 and a 1999 blue Lincoln Town Car he was selling.

Anderson reportedly pushed Davis to the ground and then raised a pipe wrench over the elderly man and threatened to kill him. Anderson ripped the landline telephone cord from the wall of the business to prevent Davis from calling 911.
