MIDLAND Police are continuing the search for a suspect after a woman was stabbed multiple times Monday in her apartment.

Midland public information officer Tina Jauz said in a news release that Midland police officers are still in search of a man who stabbed a 24-year-old Midland woman eight times in her back.

The suspect was described as a black man with high cheekbones.

According to detectives, the man forced himself into her apartment and attempted to sexually assault her.

Jauz said the victim’s three children, ages 2 to 6, went to a neighbor’s apartment and asked for help.
