OPD investigating apartment shooting

A 16-year-old boy is in critical condition after reportedly being shot during a drug deal, and Odessa police officers are still trying to identify the shooter. 

Officers were called about the shooting at 1:24 a.m. Sunday at Brady Station Apartments, 4201 E. 52nd St. Upon arrival, the release said officers found the victim with a gunshot wound in his chest, that had reportedly happened during a drug deal. 

The victim was taken to Medical Center Hospital with serious bodily injury and is currently listed as being in critical condition, the release detailed. 

No arrests have been made at this time, the release stated, but several suspects, all minors, have been identified.

OPD is asking anyone with information regarding the shooting to call OPD at 432-333-3461 or Odessa Crime Stoppers at 432-333-TIPS and reference case No. 19-25848.
