>> Marine Corp Pvt. Whitney N. Inzer, 17, of Odessa, graduated from the Marine Corp basic military training March 9 in Parris Island, S.C.

Inzer is currently stationed in Camp Lejeune, N.C.

She is a 2006 graduate of the Career Center. She is the daughter of Wesley and Marlo Ashley and Russell Inzer, all of Odessa.

She is the granddaughter of Mic and Donna Ayres and Robert and Nadine Inzer, all of Odessa.

She is the sister of Russell Inzer, Zachary Inzer, Hunter Inzer, Emily Inzer, Jaci Inzer, Abi Inzer and Chavvah Ashley.

>> Army Pvt. Jacob R. Braxton has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, near Columbia, S.C.

He is the son of Lillie Shoup of Big Spring. Braxton is a 2003 graduate of Big Spring High School.
