Ector County Attorney Cathy Linch announced her intention to run for a second term at the courthouse Wednesday.

Linch said she’s had success in prosecuting domestic violence, driving while intoxicated and hot check cases. She said her office had brought in more than $1.4 million in restitution for hot checks.

Competition in the March 4 Republican primary from Cindy Weir-Nutter didn’t deter Linch, she said.

“I think people recognize how hard we’ve been working, and what we’ve accomplished,” she said. “I think they’ll want us back.”
