The City of Odessa, with help from Odessa Fire Rescue, The Salvation Army, The American Red Cross, and ECISD, has opened a temporary weather shelter at the gym for those in need of a place to stay during the winter storm. The shelter opened at 5 p.m. on Wednesday and will remain open until noon on Friday according to Odessa Fire/Rescue.
The City of Odessa has opened a temporary weather shelter at Ector College Prep Success Academy Gymnasium for those in need of a place to stay during the winter storm. The shelter, which provides food, bedding, showers and restrooms, was made possible with the help of Odessa Fire Rescue, The Salvation Army, The American Red Cross, and ECISD.
