Odessa Arts in partnership with the Ector County Independent School District hosted a community mural signing at a mural-in-progress being painted by artist Koda Witsken Saturday morning at the ECISD Development Office. The mural is being created as part of the 100th anniversary of ECISD and features likenesses of a schoolteacher turned fighter pilot, cowgirl, mariachi singer and high school football in addition to many other hidden nods to life in West Texas. Witsken began work on the mural April 20 and expects to complete the public art piece May 1.
