Two people are in Medical Center Hospital with life-threatening injuries following a motorcycle crash Wednesday night in north Odessa.

Odessa police and Odessa Fire Rescue were called about the crash at about 11:33 p.m. Wednesday at 31st Street and Andrews Highway.

An Odessa Police Department news release stated a black 2016 Harley Davidson, being driven by 46-year-old Martin Samson, was traveling north in the 3100 block of Andrews Highway with passenger Dena Hagerty, 49.

At the same time, the release detailed, a black 2015 Dodge Journey, being driven by 24-year-old Leah Edwards, was traveling south in the same block with passengers Richard Amparan, 28, and Christopher Simmons, 25.

Edwards reportedly struck the motorcycle while trying to turn left into a private drive, the release stated. Both Samson and Hagerty were taken to MCH with life-threatening injuries and are in critical condition.
