A 2-year-old boy died late Wednesday afternoon after he reportedly fell into a pool Monday in Pleasant Farms.
Officials said the boy’s name will not be released at this time pending further investigation.
Deputies and EMS were first called around 3:50 p.m. Monday to the 16500 block of South Windmill Avenue, where the mother told them she found her son in the pool, pulled him out, called 911, and began performing CPR on her child, an Ector County Sheriff’s Office news release stated.
The child was taken to Medical Center Hospital for treatment, the release stated, but was later taken by life flight to Lubbock for additional care before passing away Wednesday.
An autopsy will be performed at South Plains Forensic Center in Lubbock, the release detailed.
