Several highway lane closures next week

There will be several lane closures in Odessa and surrounding counties next week as roadwork and inspections are being done.

Contractors will begin rebuilding 23rd Street between Kermit Highway and Andrews Highway on Monday, a City of Odessa news release said. The work is expected to take six weeks.

Several lanes will be closed all week beginning Monday on Highway 329 in Crane County between mile markers 254 and 262 as crews fog seal a section of the highway, a Texas Department of Transportation news release stated.

Work will be done in Ward County on both Interstate 20 and FM 2355 on Monday, the release detailed. Crews will be inspecting signs on I-20 between mile markers 47 and 64, and TxDOT is asking drivers to watch for large trucks and take extreme care passing the operation. Repairs are also being made on FM 2355 between mile markers 198 and 208 with several lane closures for much of the week.

Reeves County will also see lane closures on I-20 starting Tuesday as road testing will be done near the FM 516 overpass between mile markers 48 and 49 and also between markers 59 and 60, the release stated. Repairs will also be done on FM 2119 in Reeves County, with several lane closures between markers 180 and 182.

Additional road work is scheduled Monday on Highway 285 in Reeves County as crews will be placing new asphalt between markers 390 and 391, and roadwork will also begin Tuesday and conclude Thursday on FM 2119 between markers 180 and 182 with several lane closures.
