Black Gold Bash

The Black Gold Bash featuring Wade Bowen and Stoney LaRue is scheduled at 7 p.m. Friday with an after party with Adam Wakefield from The Voice also scheduled at the La Hacienda Event Center.

The event is part of Oilfield Helping Hands, which provides assistance to families in financial crisis due to medical and other serious circumstances. They have awarded more than $4.7 million since the group formed in 2003.

The Black Gold Bash is scheduled 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday at the La Hacienda Event Center, 12600 Highway 191. This is the first year for the event and organizers say the event provides, along with great music, a chance to network with industry colleagues and to do it while supporting a great cause. Job fair

Ector County Independent School District has scheduled a job fair from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at the George H.W. Bush New Tech, 300 E. 29th St.

Hiring for all professional and non-professional vacancies: Teachers, counselors, SPED staff, administrators, substitute, para-professionals such as classroom aide, clerks, secretaries, maintenance, custodial, cafeteria and transportation.

Bring resumes, principals and departments will have representatives there ready to interview qualified candidates.

Relaxation class

The Lifestyle Medicine Center has scheduled a Diving Deeper: The Practice of Deep Relaxation class from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Midland Memorial West Campus, 4214 Andrews Highway, Midland.

This class will include a lecture, practice and discussion.
