Lawn Concert

Museum of the Southwest, 1705 W. Missouri Ave., Midland, has scheduled a Summer Sunday Lawn Concert featuring the Tall City Band from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday on the front lawn of the Turner Mansion.

The concert is family and pet-friendly.

Bring lawn chairs, blankets and coolers. Food trucks will be onsite.

Admission is free.

Hot Summer Nights

Downtown Odessa Inc. and Odessa Arts have scheduled Hot Summer Nights Concert Series at 8 p.m. June 7, June 14, June 21, June 28, July 12, July 19, July 26, Aug. 2 and Aug. 9 at the Noel Heritage Plaza, 321 W. Fifth St.

The concert series lineups include: Mariachi Armonia (June 7), Permian Playhouse “Smokey Joe’s Café” (June 14), Disco Daze (June 21), West Texas Jazz Project (June 28), Basin Big Band (July 12), Lone Star Attitude (July 19), A’lante Flamenco (July 26), Free Spirit (Aug. 2) and Victor & Penny (Aug. 9).

In the event of inclement weather, shows will be moved to Odessa High School.

The event includes local food trucks, as well as children’s activities.

Bring the lawn chairs and blankets. Ice chests are allowed, but alcoholic beverages are not permitted.

Summer Art Camps

The Ellen Noël Art Museum, 4909 E. University Blvd., has scheduled Summer Art Camps for kids, ages 6-12.

June 10-14: 9:15 a.m. to noon, Ceramics/Art & Imagination.

June 17-21: 9:15 a.m. to noon, Painting/Art Trip.

July 15-19: 9:15 a.m. to noon, 3D Design/Creatures.

Each camp is $100.

A limited number of scholarships are available based on financial need. Class size is limited and classes fill up quickly. Advance registration is required.

Museum hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday (extended hours until 8 p.m. Thursday) and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Admission is free and open to the public.
