The Permian Basin Poetry Society is having a poetry evening at the Fine Arts Building at Midland College from 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 19.
In addition, they are having visual and performing artists at Hill Park in Monahans on Aug. 21 after sundown.
Trevor Wainwright of the United Kingdom (possibly virtual), Loretta Diane Walker of Odessa, Laurel Santiago and her daughter Tarja of Monahans are some of the poets participating.
Midland College professors helping with the Midland College event are William Christopher Brown, master of ceremonies; Katherine Prementine, marketing and communications coordinator; and Howard Craig Marks, director of the Learning Resources Center (library).
