The Odessa Police Department has identified the Midland man and woman that were involved in a single vehicle rollover in northeast Odessa.
Jennifer Marie Gallegos, 35, was pronounced dead after being transported to Medical Center Hospital, while Greg Brian Young, 45, was also transported to MCH with serious bodily injuries and was still listed in critical condition as of Wednesday.
The single vehicle rollover happened at 3:49 p.m. Tuesday in the 5000 block of 52nd St.
Young was identified as driving a blue Ford Mustang with his passenger Gallegos, the release stated. The Mustang was traveling west on 52nd Street and it was passing other vehicles in the center turning lane at a high rate of speed.
The Mustang lost control before leaving the roadway, the release stated. The Mustang rolled several times in a field and Gallegos was ejected from the vehicle.
Rhonda Lewallen, public relations director at MCH, said over the phone Wednesday morning that Young was listed critical condition.
The investigation continues.
