The Jack Hendrix Piano Competition, sponsored by the Odessa Music Teachers Association has been scheduled from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Odessa College.
This competition includes students from the first grade through college students.
One hundred twenty pianists will be competing from studios throughout the area in Texas as well as eastern New Mexico.
Judges for this year’s event are Mark and Lauren Puckett from Hardin-Simmons University.
The winners will be presented in two recitals at 2 p.m. and at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Jack Rodgers Fine Arts Auditorium on the Odessa College campus.
The public is invited to attend the Sunday recitals.
