The Permian Basin International Oil Show will celebrate the success of its 82nd anniversary at 2 p.m. Wednesday by awarding scholarships to five academic institutions.
The presentation will be at the UT Permian Basin Engineering Building – Midland Campus North 1310 FM 1788.
This year’s gift totals $282,000. That brings the grand total since 2007 to $1.4 million dollars, a news release said.
Academic institutions receiving scholarship money include: UT Permian Basin, Odessa College, Midland College, Texas Tech University, and the Desk and Derrick Club.
