Two are dead after a wreck in Odessa on Friday.
Medical Center Hospital officials said Lucio Lara, 82, of Odessa, died over the weekend. Lara was taken to the hospital after the wreck Friday evening in west Odessa, and was said to be in critical condition on Saturday afternoon but later died.
Catarina Lara, 82, of Odessa, was pronounced dead on the scene on Friday.
Odessa police said its Friday investigation revealed the Laras were in a silver Chevrolet Malibu which failed to yield the right of way just before 7 p.m. at the intersection of West 2nd Street and Harless. The release said a black Ford F-250, driven by Mark Gonzales, 45, of Odessa, collided with the Malibu.
There were no other reports of injury at the scene.
