Museum events

The Ellen Noël Art Museum, 4909 E. University Blvd., has scheduled the following events.

  • Through Aug. 14, 2022: ‘Ave Maria: The Many Visions of the Madonna’ exhibition’
  • Sept. 8, 15, 22, 29: 8 a.m., Yoga at the museum. Members only.
  • Sept. 9: 6 p.m., Art Talk.
  • Sept. 9-Jan. 16, 2022: Audubon’s Quadrupeds: His Last Project on loan from the Lee Silliman Engraving Collection.
  • Sept. 16: 6 p.m., Finding Alice & Audubon’s Quadrupeds exhibition reception.
  • Sept. 16-Jan. 2, 2022: Finding Alice: An Illustrated Look at Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland exhibition.
  • Sept. 25: 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Art a la Carte, art-filled day for the whole community. This year’s theme, “Curiouser and Curiouser” ties in with our Alice in Wonderland themed exhibit, “Finding Alice: An Illustrated Look at Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.” Enjoy arts stations and special visits from community friends such as the OHS Harp Ensemble, UTPB Pots & Prints and more.
  • Sept. 30: 6 p.m., Film Series, Latin American Women Artists (27 minutes). Enjoy thought provoking art themed documentaries followed by discussions with our special Thursday Night Films Series hosted by the UTPB Art Department.
  • Oct. 1: Fifth Annual West Texas Fest at the Midland Shooters Association Shot Gun Range, 7400 W County Road 170, Midland. This event is a fundraiser for the Ellen Noël Art Museum. Go online for tickets.

Museum hours are: Noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday and noon to 8 p.m. Thursday.
