On Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022, at approximately 4:45 a.m., officers with the Midland Police Department were dispatched to HomeTowne Studios, 1003 S. Midkiff, in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers found a female identified as Mariela Galindo Lozano, 28-years-old, deceased with multiple stab wounds to her body.
MPD Crime Scene Unit and Crimes Against Persons Unit were notified and responded to the scene. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that the suspect involved is identified as Raven Robert Rodriguez, 30-years-old.
An autopsy was requested and next of kin has been notified.
