A 34-year-old man was still in critical condition Tuesday after an ATV crash Monday night in north Odessa, a Medical Center Hospital official said over the phone.
The Odessa Police Department responded to the crash at 5:46 p.m. Monday in the 9300 block of Evans Boulevard.
Daniel Valenzuela was traveling south on a Polaris Razor ATV with a 6-year-old female passenger, an OPD release stated. Valenzuela reportedly failed to control speed and lost control before striking the curb.
Valenzuela was transported to MCH with life-threatening injuries.
Valenzuela wasn’t wearing a helmet, the release stated. The 6-year-old girl was wearing a helmet and was not transported to the hospital.
The investigation continues.
