Man found guilty of sexually assaulting 12-year-old niece

An Ector County Jury took less than 7 minutes to find a 46-year-old man guilty of continuous sexual abuse, an Ector County District Attorney press release detailed.
Gabriel Mendoza was sentenced on Tuesday to life in prison without the possibility of parole, the release stated.
The jury reportedly needed less than 5 minutes to assess the punishment. Mendoza reportedly sexually assaulted his 12-year-old niece multiple times between June 2018 and September 2018.
Ector County Assistant District attorneys Kortney Williams and Melissa Williams prosecuted the case, while Lawrence Barber defended Mendoza.
Mendoza reportedly took his niece to motels to sexually assault her. The 12-year-old stated her uncle had sexually assaulted her five times.
