Man charged with sexual assault in West Odessa

A man sexually assaulted a woman in his travel trailer in West Odessa after he messaged her over social media that his father was in the hospital, an Ector County Sheriff’s Office affidavit detailed.
James Robinson, 18, was charged with sexual assault, a second-degree felony.
The incident reportedly happened Dec. 9 at a travel trailer on Huntington Street in West Odessa. The woman reported the incident to ECSO deputies on Dec. 11.
The woman told deputies that Robinson messaged her on social media after his father was ill and in the intensive care unit at Medical Center Hospital, the affidavit stated. The woman stated she wanted to be a friend to Robinson, so she met him at MCH. Robinson reportedly asked the woman to go to his house with him to pack his father an overnight bag and she agreed.
Robinson and the woman arrived at the travel trailer and once inside, Robinson pushed the woman and she fell to the floor, the affidavit stated. Robinson reportedly picked up the woman, pulled her shirt over her head and threw her on the bed.
Robinson pulled the woman’s pants and panties off and then penetrated the woman’s vagina with his penis, the affidavit detailed. The woman stated she told Robinson to stop, but he kept on going. Robinson reportedly told the woman ‘I waited all these years for payback.’ The woman told deputies she didn’t know if Robinson used a condom or if he ejaculated inside her.
Robinson was charged, arrested and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center. He has one bond totaling $50,000 and was still in custody as of Wednesday afternoon, jail records show.
