Man charged with injury to a child

An Odessa woman is pursuing charges after a man reportedly pushed her child.
Ector County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched at about 5:02 p.m. Sunday to West Hoffman Drive about a threat.
The child’s mother told law enforcement officers that 34-year-old Yoandris Reynaldo-Sanchez, who lives on the same property but in a different trailer, had accused her of getting involved in his relationship, the ECSO affidavit stated.
The woman reportedly was holding her child at the end of her property’s steps when Sanchez pushed her.
The affidavit stated she slipped on the black mat under her feet and fell back onto the steps, hitting her child’s forehead and resulting in an indention.
Sanchez was charged and arrested with injury to a child, a third-degree felony. He had one $10,000 bond and bonded out Monday.
