Man charged with evading law enforcement after rolling sportscar

An 18-year-old man was arrested Monday night after he reportedly rolled a sportscar while evading deputies.
Kevin Hernandez was charged with evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, a third-degree felony.
The incident happened at 8:10 p.m. Monday on Meteor Crater Road, an Ector County Sheriff’s Office release detailed.
An ECSO deputy was reportedly attempting to conduct a traffic stop on a white Camaro for driving recklessly. The driver, later identified as Hernandez, refused to stop and deputies pursued the Camaro south on Meteor Crater Road.
The Camaro failed to negotiate a curve and rolled, the release stated. Hernandez evaded on foot and was caught by deputies in a pasture.
Hernandez was arrested, charged and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center. He has one bond totaling $25,000 and was still in custody as of Tuesday afternoon, jail records show.
