Local radiothon raises funds for Children’s Miracle Network at MCHS

KICKS 99.1 FM from West Texas Radio Group is hosting the “KICKS Cares for Kids” radiothon Wednesday and Thursday, a two-day airing that will benefit the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at Medical Center Health System.

KICKS will encourage listeners to make a donation to help kids treated at MCHS.

Advantage Health Plus is the local presenting sponsor for the event, among other generous companies and individuals, a news release said.

The radiothon will run from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at West Texas Radio Group. Listeners can tune in to KICKS 99.1 FM or online at www.kicks99.net. Listeners can also donate by texting ‘KICKSKIDS’ to 432-520-9910, calling 888-499-5437, or by stopping by to make a donation, the release said.

All proceeds — 100 percent of the funds raised from the “KICKS Cares for Kids” radiothon — will directly benefit the NICU and Pediatric Units at Medical Center Health System. It will be used to buy life-saving equipment, specialized training for staff to better serve patients and research to help future patients.
