Girls World Expo, a celebration for girls 11-18 is scheduled noon to 4 p.m. March 3 at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Midland Plaza, 117 W. Wall St., Midland.
There will be a “Girl of Merit” awards ceremony, fashion, live music, dance performances, shopping, healthy living, a gallery of local art, college and career information, Henna art, volunteer opportunities, a Bright Ideas STEM Fair, hot topic seminars and workshops.

Nominations are also being accepted for exceptional young woman for recognition as a Girl of Merit at the event. Nominees must be 11 to 18, and must have done exceptional things, academically, artistically, for their family, for their friends or for the community. Nominees should be dedicated, compassionate, caring and committed. Winners will be announced during an awards ceremony during the expo. All winners and their guests will receive free admission.
