Early voting begins Monday

Early voting for the May joint primary election runoff begins Monday.

The only local election is on the Republican ballot for Precinct 2 justice of the peace. Voters will have the option to vote for either Matthew Stringer or Missi Walden.

On the Democratic ballot, the only runoff election is between Andrew White and Lupe Valdez for the Democratic candidate for governor.

Early voting will last all week from Monday through Friday. Voting booths will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Ector County Courthouse Annex, 1010 E. Eighth St.

Four other voting locations will be open this week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.:

  • MCH Primary Care, 6030 W. University Blvd.
  • Westlake Hardware Store, 4652 E. University Blvd.
  • Odessa College Sports Center, 201 W. University Blvd.
  • Family Health Center, 840 W. Clements St.

Voters should bring with them their voter registration certificate and a photo ID, such as a driver’s license, with them when they go to cast their vote.
