The Ector County Commissioners have scheduled a special meeting to discuss the 2018-2019 budget.
The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Ector County Courthouse Annex, 1010 E. Eighth St.
The agenda states commissioners will discuss issues affecting, concerning and related to the budget, including budgetary goals, needs and priorities, and will look at long-term and short-term budgetary planning, taxable values and the effect of those values on county revenue.
Employee benefits and salaries will be discussed, as well as potential budget cuts and reductions and any other issues affecting the county’s financial condition.
The 2017-2018 budget will also be reviewed, including any adjustments and projected shortfalls and surpluses in the budget heading into the next budget cycle, the agenda states.
