The Texas Department of Public Safety reported Wednesday a 4-year-old child died after a fatal crash in West Odessa April 6.

A DPS news release stated that the four-year-old girl died at University Medical Center in Lubbock, after a crash that day at the intersection of Third Street and Damascus Avenue, about seven miles west of Odessa.

The release stated a 2011 Ford Fiesta, carrying the girl as a passenger, collided with a 2011 Ford F-450 that was towing a car, when the Fiesta failed to stop at the intersection. The wreck was reported just before 4 p.m. in Ector County.

One driver, 17-year-old Brisa Anchando, of Odessa, was taken to Medical Center Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries. Sabas Fierro Jr., 50, of Odessa, drove the F-450 and was not injured, the release stated.
