An 18-year-old Gardendale woman was pronounced dead Tuesday after reportedly drowning.
Deputies were called about the drowning victim around 4:55 p.m. Tuesday in the 17000 block of Zinnia Avenue in Gardendale, an Ector County Sheriff’s Office news release stated.
Upon arrival, deputies were told the victim, Skylyn LaRae Duke, was taken to Medical Center Hospital, the release detailed.
Duke was later pronounced dead at MCH, the release stated, and her body will be sent to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy.
The investigation will continue.
