Sibley Nature Center, 1307 E. Wadley Ave., Midland, has scheduled Garden Explorers: Spring Planting from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

The center will be working in on its own garden bed. Explorers will prepare the soil, choose the fruits and/or vegetables they want to grow and plant them.

Garden Explorers is designed for third through fifth grade students.

This program is held the third Saturday of the month in the Sibley Youth and Family Garden. Each month, Explorers will delve into the mysteries of gardening, from insects to soil and everything in between. The group will learn how to garden on the Llano Estacado and beyond.

This will be an outdoor exploration so students should come with water and weather appropriate clothing. Tools and supervision will be provided.

Cost is $5 for members and $8 for non-members.
