Former OHS football player charged with sexually assaulting child

A former Odessa High football player was arrested after he reportedly sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl.

Keevan Majors, 18, was charged Saturday with two counts of sexual assault of a child, a second-degree felony.

The reported sexual assault happened at 4:17 a.m. Saturday in the 900 block of East 23rd Street, the Odessa Police Department affidavit stated.

The complainant, the 15-year-old girl’s brother, stated he heard what sounded like moaning coming from where his sister was, the affidavit detailed. The complainant reportedly walked in on his sister having sex with an older man, later identified as Majors.

The 15-year-old stated she and Majors smoked marijuana and that he had brought her to her residence, the affidavit stated. The girl stated while under the influence she and Majors had sex. The 15-year-old stated she didn’t feel like she was in the right state of mind to agree to sex and reportedly felt she was taken advantage of.

Majors reportedly admitted to officers that he had sex with the girl and claimed the sex was consensual. Majors also admitted to smoking marijuana with the 15-year-old prior to the sexual activity.

In addition to the sexual intercourse, Majors also intentionally and knowingly received oral sex, the affidavit stated.

Majors played his final season with the Bronchos in the fall of 2018 where he was an honorable mention all-district nomination on the offensive line.

Majors has two bonds totaling $50,000 and he was still in custody as of Monday afternoon, jail records show.
