Fifth man arrested in connection to robbery at gunpoint

A 21-year-old man was arrested Friday after he was reportedly involved with four male teenagers that robbed another teenager of his money and vehicle at gunpoint on April 15.
Phoenix Granado was charged April 24 with four counts of aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony. He also charged Friday with unlawful delivery of manufacturing with intent to simulate a controlled substance, a state jail felony. Granado also violated his parole.
The other four individuals arrested in connection to the aggravated robbery were 18-year-old Reynaldo Rodriguez III, 17-year-old Devin Delao, 18-year-old Andrew Templeton and 18-year-old Martin Fierro Jr. Reynaldo Rodriguez was arrested on April 16, while Delao, Templeton and Fierro were each arrested on April 15.
Officers were dispatched to the intersection of W. Third Street and North County Road West in reference to the aggravated robbery, an Odessa Police Department affidavit detailed.
The victim, 17-year-old Jonathan Rodriguez, stated four vehicles blocked him in and several teens jumped out of the vehicles, pulled him out of his vehicle at gunpoint, took his money and keys and left the scene in his vehicle.
Jonathan Rodriguez stated one of the people during the robbery had tattoos on both hands as well as the word “blessed” on his forearm and a tattoo under his right eye of a cross, the affidavit stated.
Officers recognized the description of the person with the tattoos as Granado due to prior dealings with him, the affidavit detailed.
Granado was arrested, charged and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center. None of his bonds have been set as he hasn’t been magistrated yet, jail records show. Reynaldo Rodriguez, Delao, Templeton and Fierro are each still in custody as of Friday afternoon.
