A man and woman were arrested after a verbal dispute turned physical when the woman pulled a knife on the man and the man kicked the woman in the groin area.
Jessica Dominguez, 28, was charged Feb. 13 with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon family violence, a second-degree felony, while Anthony Ramon, 46, was charged with assault causing bodily injury family violence, a class A misdemeanor.
Officers responded to the disturbance call at 2:44 a.m. Feb. 13 at 1205 Harris Ave., the Odessa Police Department affidavit detailed.
Dominguez and Ramon were reportedly in a verbal dispute, which led to both people reportedly wrestling inside the residence. The two family members were separated and Dominguez grabbed a black-handled, silver-bladed kitchen knife. Dominguez reportedly placed the blade of the knife to the neck of Ramon and drug the tip of the knife from the base of the chin to the base of the neck.
The knife was removed from Dominguez’s possession and the physical altercation continued as Ramon kicked Dominguez in the groin area, the affidavit stated. The knife was later located in the hallway outside of the kitchen hidden between two storage bins where Ramon stated the incident happened.
Dominguez and Ramon were each charged, arrested and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center. Dominguez had one bond set at $50,000 and posted bail on Tuesday, jail records show. Ramon had one bond totaling $2,500 and was still in custody as of Wednesday morning.
