Signs of graduation are popping up everywhere

One of the key components of Ector County ISD’s strategic plan is to prepare students for college, career and military — whatever their choice may be after high school graduation.

One of the ways the district celebrates these accomplishments is by decorating the front of each school with signs. That is, yard signs highlighting the colleges, universities, military commitments, or career tracks the graduates have chosen to pursue, a news release stated.

At the end of this week, each of ECISD’s five high schools will honor the Class of 2021 by planting the yard signs in a very visible place to not only honor this year’s grads but also to create a tangible example for underclassmen to emulate.

This will be the second year in a row that ECISD high schools have done this for the graduating seniors.
