Ector County ISD to host annual Leadership University

Investing in talent is a key theme of Ector County ISD’s strategic plan, and one means of investment is the district’s annual Leadership University set for today through Wednesday at Crossroads Church, 6901 East State Highway 191.

The conference schedule is 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

A news release said ECISD believes in developing strong leaders and Leadership University is set up to do that with two days of breakout sessions tailored to the needs of individual groups, four keynote speakers who are leaders in their fields, and a Parent-Student panel on Tuesday at noon giving principals and administrators a chance to hear directly from those they serve.

This year’s keynote speakers are Peter Gorman, President/CEO Peter Gorman Leadership Associates LLC; ElliottWitney, Founder  &  Principal  at  ECHO  Learning;  Robert  Avossa, President K-12  Leadership  Matters;  and  Amity Schuyler, Senior Vice President of Workforce Development for the Greater Memphis Chamber of Commerce.
