ABANDON/ENDANGER CHILD
- Abigail Garcia, 26, pleaded guilty May 15 to abandoning or endangering a child under circumstances that would place the child in imminent danger of bodily injury and was sentenced to four years probation and deferred adjudication. ASSAULT
- Derrick Eugene Charlot, 41, had a charge of assault by strangulation (family violence) dismissed May 15 because he pleaded guilty to charges in another case. Judge Stacy Trotter presided. Bret Mansur was the defense attorney.
- Jirus J. Davis, 29, pleaded guilty May 15 to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (family violence) and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Smith approved the deal. Spencer Dobbs was the defense attorney.

- Toronto Clayveron Williams, 34, was convicted guilty by a jury May 14 for evading arrest with a previous conviction and was sentenced to 16 months in state jail. - Marqalo Divonte Flores, 20, pleaded guilty May 16 to injury to a child and was sentenced to 45 years in prison.
