The following is a list of felony dispositions from the Ector County District Clerk’s Office. Listed attorneys do not necessarily represent who was involved when the case was disposed. The prosecuting attorney was not listed unless otherwise stated.

ABANDON/ENDANGER CHILD

  • Abigail Garcia, 26, pleaded guilty May 15 to abandoning or endangering a child under circumstances that would place the child in imminent danger of bodily injury and was sentenced to four years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge John Smith approved the deal. Michael McLeaish was the defense attorney.

ASSAULT

  • Derrick Eugene Charlot, 41, had a charge of assault by strangulation (family violence) dismissed May 15 because he pleaded guilty to charges in another case. Judge Stacy Trotter presided. Bret Mansur was the defense attorney.
  • Jirus J. Davis, 29, pleaded guilty May 15 to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (family violence) and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Smith approved the deal. Spencer Dobbs was the defense attorney.
  • Kendra Lynn Griffin, 24, pleaded guilty May 16 to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and tampering with physical evidence and was sentenced to 10 years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Justin Low was the defense attorney.
  • Brock Kolten Terry, 28, pleaded guilty May 16 to two counts of aggravated assault against a public servant and a charge of evading arrest with a vehicle and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Whalen approved the deal. McLeaish was the defense attorney.
  • De Zjuan Black, 18, pleaded guilty May 17 to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to 10 years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Chris Deanda was the defense attorney.
  • John Alex Ellsworth, 24, pleaded guilty May 17 to aggravated assault against a peace officer and evading arrest with a vehicle and was sentenced to nine years in prison. Rush approved the deal. Thomas Morgan was the defense attorney.
  • Ja Quinn Green, 22, pleaded guilty May 17 to assault on a public servant and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Smith approved the deal. Mike Holmes was the defense attorney.

BURGLARY

  • John Trent Weaver, 20, was sentenced to 10 years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt May 9 on a charge of burglary of a habitation. Whalen approved the deal. Low was the defense attorney.
  • Chase Brenton Thompson, 34, pleaded guilty May 16 to burglary of a building and was sentenced to four years probation and deferred adjudication. Trotter approved the deal. Adrian Chavez was the defense attorney.

CREDIT/DEBIT CARD ABUSE

  • Juan Castillos, 57, pleaded guilty May 16 to credit card or debit card abuse and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Smith approved the deal. Carlos Rodriguez was the defense attorney.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

  • Marqalo Divonte Flores, 20, was sentenced to two years in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt May 16 on a charge of criminal mischief. Smith approved the deal. Mansur was the defense attorney.

DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED

  • Owen Carl Melson, 54, pleaded guilty May 15 to driving while intoxicated, third or more, and was sentenced to 15 years in prison. Smith approved the deal. Holmes was the defense attorney.
  • Clifford Lee Reedy, 59, pleaded guilty May 16 to driving while intoxicated, third or more, and was sentenced to four years in prison. Whalen approved the deal. Josh Stephens was the defense attorney.

EVADING ARREST

  • Jasmine Markay Luna, 26, was sentenced to four years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt May 3 on a charge of evading arrest with a vehicle. Trotter approved the deal. Jason Schoel was the defense attorney.
  • Toronto Clayveron Williams, 34, was convicted guilty by a jury May 14 for evading arrest with a previous conviction and was sentenced to 16 months in state jail. Williams was also acquitted by a jury May 13 on a charge of driving while intoxicated, third or more. Whalen approved the deal. Jerry Caddel was the defense attorney.
  • Dylan Kerr, 21, pleaded guilty May 15 to evading arrest with a vehicle and was sentenced to four years in prison. Kerr also had a charge of possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, dismissed as part of the deal. Smith approved the deal. Luke Garrett was the defense attorney.
  • Jason McCullough, 46, had a charge of evading arrest with a vehicle dismissed May 15. Rush presided. Steve Brannan was the defense attorney.

  • Sebastian Xavier Urquidi, 19, pleaded guilty May 17 to evading arrest with a vehicle; possession of a controlled substance, four grams or more but less than 200 grams; and possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to five years probation. FORGERY

  • Bennie Harris, 57, pleaded guilty May 16 to forgery of a financial instrument and was sentenced to 18 months in state jail. Smith approved the deal. Glen Halsell was the defense attorney.

INJURY TO CHILD

  • Marqalo Divonte Flores, 20, pleaded guilty May 16 to injury to a child and was sentenced to 45 years in prison. Flores also had a charge of capital murder of a person under ten years of age and injury to a child by omission dismissed as part of the deal. Trotter approved the deal.   • Rene Bartolo Sanchez, 41, pleaded guilty May 17 to injury to a child with intent to cause bodily injury and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Rush approved the deal. Robert Garcia was the defense attorney.

INTERFERENCE WITH CHILD CUSTODY

  • Chris Butler, 44, had a charge of interference with child custody dismissed May 15 because the victim refused to cooperate. Rush presided. Marc Chastain was the defense attorney.

MANUFACTURE/DELIVERY OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

  • Sandra Cavazos, 47, pleaded guilty May 17 to manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, four grams or more but less than 200 grams, and was sentenced to nine years probation and deferred adjudication. Rush approved the deal. Tony Chavez was the defense attorney.

POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

  • Angel Korina Garcia, 20, was sentenced to 10 years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt April 25 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, four grams or more but less than 200 grams. Whalen approved the deal. Fletcher was the defense attorney.
  • Joshua Lynn Fornash, 29, was sentenced to six years probation in an order adjudicating guilt May 1 on charges of possession of a controlled substance, four grams or more but less than 400 grams; and possession of a controlled substance (tetrahydrocannabinol).   • Joseph Angel Rojo, 19, was sentenced to 12 months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt May 1 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram. Whalen approved the deal. Stephens was the defense attorney.
  • Apolinar Molina, 46, was sentenced to five years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt May 2 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, one gram or more but less than four grams. Whalen approved the deal. Caddel was the defense attorney.
  • Abel Olivas Valenzuela, 24, was sentenced to five years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt May 2 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, one gram or more but less than four grams. Whalen approved the deal. Fletcher was the defense attorney.
  • Beaux Dillon Digby, 27, pleaded guilty May 16 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Whalen approved the deal. McLeaish was the defense attorney.
  • Christine Vosha Dobbins, 29, pleaded guilty May 16 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to six months in state jail. Trotter approved the deal. Sean Galloway was the defense attorney.
  • Rosaura Castaneda Luna, 51, pleaded guilty May 16 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to nine months in state jail. Trotter approved the deal. Christina Jimenez was the defense attorney.
  • Chase Brenton Thompson, 34, pleaded guilty May 16 to possession of a controlled substance, four grams or more but less than 200 grams, and was sentenced to four years probation and deferred adjudication. Trotter approved the deal. Adrian Chavez was the defense attorney.
  • Daniel Rodriquez Marquez, 34, pleaded guilty May 17 to two counts of possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to 12 months in state jail. SEXUAL ASSAULT

  • Billy Ray-Don Allen, 29, was sentenced to 20 years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt May 15 on a charge of sexual assault. Whalen approved the deal. Holmes was the defense attorney.

TAKING WEAPON FROM OFFICER

  • Adrian Galindo Villareal, 25, was sentenced to 15 months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt April 30 on a charge of attempting to take or taking a weapon from an officer. Whalen approved the deal. Gary Garrison was the defense attorney.

TAMPER/FABRICATE PHYSICAL EVIDENCE

  • Gary Mitchell Newell, 48, pleaded guilty May 16 to tampering with or fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair and was sentenced to three years in prison. Whalen approved the deal. Kevin Acker was the defense attorney.
  • Alejandro Alex Trevino, 31, pleaded guilty May 17 to tampering with or fabricating physical evidence and was sentenced to four years in prison. Trevino also had a charge of evading arrest with a vehicle dismissed as part of the deal. Rush approved the deal. McLeaish was the defense attorney.

THEFT

  • Jimmie Dale Lee, 30, pleaded guilty May 16 to theft and was sentenced to four years probation and deferred adjudication. Trotter approved the deal. Aaron Eckman was the defense attorney.

  • Manuel Reyes Valdez, 47, pleaded guilty May 16 to intentional or knowing unauthorized discharge and was sentenced to four years probation and deferred adjudication. Trotter approved the deal. Tony Chavez was the defense attorney.
