Drivers may want to avoid East Loop 338 this week, as several temporary one-lane closures are expected on the road from Business Interstate 20 to I-20 all week.
The closures are coming as part of a rehabilitation project on Business I-20 going from Odessa to Midland, a Texas Department of Transportation news release stated.
Work on the project began June 3. The renovations involve the resurfacing of roads at major intersections, such as East Loop 338, as well as at Faudree Road, Coors Road, and West Loop 250.
The project also includes signage and miscellaneous work like pavement markings and metal beam guard fences, the release stated.
TxDOT estimates the project will be completed by Spring 2019, with the bulk of the work being done in 2018.
