The Texas Department of Public Safety identified the man killed in a rollover crash Friday in Ector County near State Loop 338.
Andy Heffner, 22, of Wyoming was traveling west in a 2018 Ford F-350 at about 2:16 a.m. Friday on Loop 338, four miles south of Odessa, a DPS news release stated, when he left the roadway, overcorrected and rolled.
Heffner was pronounced dead after reportedly not wearing a seatbelt.
Passenger Ray Tamez, 38, of Donna, Texas, was wearing a seatbelt and was transported to Medical Center Hospital with incapacitating injuries, a DPS release stated.
The wreck was investigated by DPS Odessa Trooper Travis Payne who was assisted by DPS Odessa Trooper Andrew Garcia.
