IRVING, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Jan 28, 2021–
DAVACO, the industry leader in multi-site project management and labor deployment, announces the roll out of its turnkey vaccination distribution program immediately available to all states. The program will launch first statewide in Texas with DAVACO’s approval this week as a partner of the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS). The initiative, quickly scalable and customizable to each state’s needs, leverages DAVACO’s disaster relief expertise, including its current COVID-19 testing operations at more than 665 sites across 60 Texas counties on behalf of the Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM).
DAVACO launched its COVID-19 testing program based on its longtime experience with simplifying complex project management for multinational brands, as well as in disaster relief situations such as recent Gulf Coast Hurricane Laura. During the project, DAVACO has facilitated more than 1.2 million tests at its walk-up and drive-through locations, including Houston’s Minute Maid Park and North Texas’ Toyota Soccer Center and Tarrant County Community College, and managed nearly 500,000 calls through its HIPAA-certified, 24/7 call center.
“We know that we are at a critical time with an overwhelming and complicated situation as states work to deliver the COVID-19 vaccine,” said Jordan Handel, president of DAVACO. “Our experience, internal network and turnkey capabilities simplify this process and provide communities throughout the nation with the confidence and relief that their citizens can efficiently receive the COVID-19 vaccine with the highest levels of safety, medical expertise and customer care possible.”
Like its COVID-19 testing initiative, the vaccine deployment will feature a DAVACO single-point-of-contact solution that includes program management, site implementation and ongoing daily operations. With customization available down to the community level, DAVACO offers participating states both longer-term, high-volume vaccination sites and pop-up locations specifically geared toward serving urban, rural and under-served communities. Not only will the DAVACO solution streamline a state’s management of its multi-site vaccine management, but the efficiencies are projected to allow each longer-term site to administer up to 14,000 vaccines per day.
All vaccination sites are fully staffed with onsite DAVACO project managers and 24/7 security as well as physicians, EMT personnel and additional medical staff from DAVACO’s medical partner. With a special focus on providing easy scheduling options, an online patient portal, mobile app, telehealth options and a 24/7 bilingual, HIPAA-certified call center will alleviate patient registration and vaccine tracking challenges and frustrations.
In planning for its vaccine deployment capabilities, DAVACO secured the refrigeration storage necessary to maintain the vaccines. Crane Worldwide Logistics, DAVACO’s sister company, offers distribution centers in every major U.S. market to house and deliver the supplies key to ensuring that a vaccine site is always prepared and functioning at full capacity, including personal protective equipment, vaccine administration equipment, site tents and furniture.
“As we continue to combat COVID-19, our team is ready to move from guiding states through the challenges of effectively testing our population to including vaccinations using the scalability, speed and efficiency of our proven end-to-end project management experience,” said Handel.
