Wanted man charged after soliciting call

A man was charged on multiple warrants out of Tarrant and Reeves County Monday night outside of 7-Eleven.

Police first responded to the incident around 9:36 p.m. Monday at 7-Eleven, 1000 N. Dixie Blvd., in reference to a solicitor call, an Odessa Police Department news release said.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with a man matching the suspect’s description, who initially gave officers a fake name but was later identified as 28-year-old David Duran.

The release stated Duran had two felony warrants out of Tarrant County, and was charged with burglary of a habitation, a second-degree felony, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a state jail felony.

Jail records show Duran was taken to the Ector County Detention Center Tuesday. No bonds had been set as of Wednesday afternoon.
