The victim, identified as Leomando Ramos, 31, has been treated and released from Medical Center Hospital.

According to a news release, Odessa Police responded to the 2500 block of West Third Street on Sunday morning to find the victim with serious bodily injuries, before he was taken to Medical Center Hospital. Police investigation indicated that Jose Sigero-Contreras hit the victim in the head multiple times with a beer bottle, then left the scene before police arrived.

While officers were on the scene, a complainant told them Jose Sigero-Contreras and Luis Miguel Sigero-Contreras, his uncle, would be returning to the scene with intent to shoot.

Within minutes, two vehicles pulled up the scene, including one with those two men inside. Police made contact with them, and Luis Miguel Sigero-Contreras was found to be in possession of a stolen gun from Midland, the release stated.
