Three charged with Target theft

One man and two teenagers were charged Friday in connection to a theft at Target last January.

Officers were first called about a theft at about 1:51 p.m. on Jan. 23 at Target, 3909 E. 42nd St., an OPD news release stated.

The three suspects reportedly hid around $160 worth of merchandise in their backpacks and left the store without paying, the release detailed.

After receiving a crime stoppers tip, officers identified the three suspects as 17-year-old Marcus Angel Romo and two 15-year-old boys, who were then charged with theft, a class B misdemeanor.

Jail records show Romo was taken to the Ector County Detention Center Friday and was released the same day on a $500 bond. OPD Spokesman Cpl. Steve LeSueur said the two minors were taken to the Ector County Youth Center.
