Suspect charged with robbery, assault

Police arrested a 65-year-old man early Wednesday morning after he reportedly robbed another man at gunpoint.

Officers were called about a rolling disturbance around 2:45 a.m. near Murphy Street and Crane Avenue, an OPD news release stated.

Both parties were stopped by the Ector County Sheriff’s Office outside city limits, the release detailed, and OPD then responded to the scene and made contact with the 50-year-old victim and the suspect, Ray Charles Mosley.

The complainant told officers Mosley robbed him at a gas station, the release stated. Mosley reportedly pushed the complainant against his truck while a woman took $40 from his hand.

Mosley and the woman left in two separate vehicles, with the complainant following Mosley, the release stated. Mosley reportedly used his vehicle to strike the complainant’s vehicle numerous times.

Police charged Mosley with robbery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, second-degree felonies.
