Police searching for chicken robbery suspects

The Odessa Police Department is searching for two suspects involved in the robbery of chicken from a local grocery store, an OPD press release said.

Police first responded to the incident around 9:19 p.m. Tuesday at Albertsons, 2751 N. County Road West, the release detailed.

The release stated two suspects left the store with around $25 worth of chicken. An Albertsons employee confronted them as they made their exit, the release said, and one of the suspects placed their hands around the employee’s throat, and threatened that he had a knife.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the identity of the two suspects shown in the surveillance footage that can be viewed on the OPD’s Facebook page to call Detective W. Branch at 432-335-4924 or Odessa Crime Stoppers at 432-333-TIPS and reference case No. 18-00252.
