Police charge sexual assault suspect

The Odessa Police Department charged a man Sunday after he reportedly sexually assaulted a 19-year-old woman.

Police responded to the incident around 8:27 a.m. Sunday in north Odessa in reference to a 911 call, an OPD press release said.

The release stated the suspect, 30-year-old Fabian Antonio Escajeda, reportedly pulled the victim’s hair and sexually assaulted her without her consent.

Escajeda was charged with sexual assault, a second-degree felony.

Jail records show Escajeda was taken to the Ector County Detention Center Monday and has a $50,000 bond.
