Odessa police are seeking assistance identifying a person of interest after a vehicle theft in January.

A news release Tuesday stated the theft took place at about 7 p.m. Jan. 16, at 7-Eleven at 3900 Tanglewood Drive. After the victim entered the store with the keys left in the vehicle’s ignition and engine running, the victim left the store to see a suspect driving away in the vehicle. As the victim tried to stop the suspect, the suspect ran over the victim’s left leg, sending the victim to Medical Center Hospital with serious bodily injury, the release stated.

Odessa police posted a surveillance video to its Facebook page Tuesday, stating that the woman shown in the video was a person of interest and requested information on her identity.
