Odessa police are still searching for a suspect in connection to a shooting Friday at Kent Kwik on Andrews Highway.

A news release on Monday stated officers located a black 2014 Dodge Charger seen leaving the scene after a shooting, as well as two persons of interest. The two female persons of interest initially sought are no longer wanted for questioning, the release detailed.

OPD described the shooting suspect as a black man in his 20’s, standing about 6-feet tall and weighing about 150 pounds.

The release stated that about 4 p.m. Friday, Odessa police responded to Odessa Regional Medical Center in reference to a gunshot victim before investigation revealed that a disturbance had occurred in Kent Kwik parking lot. Praxedes Salinas III, 24, was shot in the head, the release stated.

Salinas was taken to ORMC and later taken to Medical Center Hospital with serious injuries, the release detailed.
