Police are investigating the theft of a purse that was taken from a shopping cart accidentally left behind in the Walmart parking lot.
Officers responded to the theft around 10:30 p.m. Jan. 19 at Walmart, 4210 N. JBS Parkway, an Odessa Police Department press release said.
The complainant told officers she accidentally left her purse behind in the parking lot, which contained cash and personal documents, the release detailed.
Surveillance footage shows a woman grabbing the complainant’s purse before leaving the scene in a 2012-2016 black Dodge Ram.
