OPD searching for Kent Kwik burglary suspects

Police are asking for the public’s help identifying suspects from a burglary at Kent Kwik, 601 N. County Road West, last month.

Odessa police responded to the convenience store at about 2:15 a.m. March 24 in reference to an alarm. When they arrived, they saw two of the front windows had been smashed with a large metal automotive part, a news release from Odessa Police Department stated.

Investigation revealed a black man and a white man burglarized the business and fled the scene before officers arrived, the release stated.

The first suspect was described as a white male wearing a brown leather jacket and black pants, about 5-foot, 10-inches tall, weighing 180 pounds and about 30 years old. Surveillance footage was unable to show the first suspect, but showed the second suspect, the release stated.

Anyone with information in reference to the identity of the second suspect, which can be viewed on the OPD’s website or Facebook page, is encouraged to contact Detective W. Branch at 432-335-4924 or Odessa Crime Stoppers at 432-333-TIPS and reference case number 18-12759.
